In our recent webinar, Boris Petrovitch Njegosh, a seasoned facilitator and product manager, led an insightful session on "βElevating research & discovery". With a rich background in design thinking and technology, Boris has driven innovation in remote teams for years. His experience includes working with major companies like Airbus and various startups, making him a respected figure in the facilitation community.
Boris began by sharing his professional journey, emphasizing the transition from traditional design roles to becoming a facilitator. He highlighted the importance of fostering a collaborative environment and leveraging remote tools to enhance team productivity.
During the webinar, participants were introduced to the concept of design thinking, which he defined as a user-centered approach to problem-solving that encourages innovative solutions. The session included practical exercises using Miro templates, aimed at helping teams understand user challenges, brainstorm ideas, and prototype solutions effectively.
Key exercises included
User Journey Mapping: This exercise guided participants through creating detailed user journeys to better understand user needs and pain points.
Persona Development: Participants created personas to represent different user types, helping to tailor solutions more effectively to user needs.
Empathy Mapping: This activity focused on understanding users' thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, fostering a deeper connection with the user experience.
Prototyping: Participants used Miro to create quick prototypes of their ideas, allowing for rapid testing and iteration.
Boris's session was highly interactive, with participants engaging in breakout rooms to apply the concepts discussed. The use of Miro and other collaborative tools was emphasized as essential for facilitating effective remote teamwork.
For those who missed the live session, the replay is now available. Donβt miss the opportunity to learn from Boris's extensive experience and practical insights on leveraging design thinking for remote collaboration.

WAS IT A KIND OF DREAM β¨
I planned to write about webinars today, but sometimes, life had other plans. My latest nomad experience deserves your full attention.
Let me share the fairytale of the Mountain Villages Cowork π§

πͺ LONG TIME AGO IN A GALAXY FAR AWAYβ¦

Foz d'Γgua near PiΓ³dΓ£o Schist village, Portugal
Last month, VΓ©ronique Canas Da Silva, my life partner, and I arrived at one of Portugalβs most beautiful yet remote villages π΅πΉ. PiΓ³dΓ£o, a stunning schist mountain village, far from the noise of civilization... and a decent WiFi/5G signal π±
At this particular time of my story, everything seems set for an online training session tragedy... But I trusted a solution would emerge from our slow-paced lifestyle, so read more to see how magic can happen β¨

π© WHEN IT STARTS TO SMELL SCHIST

Cooperativa cowork, Aldeias de Montanha, Lapa dos Dinheiros, Portugal
The day before, with no plan and using a grocery storeβs WiFi, I discovered that Miro silently upgraded my Miro Assist component to Miro AI π± + π₯³
No time to reschedule or prepare, this Miro Assist dedicated course with 16 paid participants would now be a very live experiment π₯
Feel the thrill with me ? π±π±π±

β¨ TRUSTING IN YOUR DESTINY

Inside the old Primary school reshaped in a modern cowork space
On the day of the remote training, we drove an hour to Seia, a medieval village, finding 2 bars of 5Gβbarely 20 Mbps for remote survival under a scorching 38Β°C sun βοΈ
A sudden intuition led me to search for "coworking" on Google Maps. A few phone calls later, we were 15 minutes away from an incredible find: the cooperative Cowork from Aldeias de Montanha in Lapa dos Dinheiros π€©
A fully renovated village school, transformed into a world-class coworking space with 100 Mbps connection, handcrafted furniture, and full equipment!
When Andreia Silva welcomed us and presented the free Mountain Village cowork project, it felt like a dream β¨
Two hours to set up my remote office and adapt the training to Miro AI, I felt the universe was supporting me in launching this early-stage remote classroom on Miro AI π
By the way, the training went very fine with a rare 100+ NPS thanks to Oliver Thiele, Mara Elder, Isabel Murillo, Mark Johnson and the others π

ποΈ MAGIC MADE IN PORTUGAL

River beach from Lapa dos Dinheiros : 2 minutes from the cowork
No, Nathy Ravez and Audrey Thouvenin, you don't have the nomad leadership in Bali : you havenβt felt true magic until youβve worked from a schist village in Portugal β¨

Navigating the unexpected in remote sessions
Maximize remote session reliability with these tips:
Keep a spare device ready for tech issues.
Have a 4G or 5G connection as backup.
Set up fallback virtual rooms on multiple conferencing platforms.
Use telephone access for poor connections (available on Zoom & Google Leet ).
Restart your computer if issues persist.
Use instant messaging for quick facilitator communication.
These steps ensure smooth remote interactions π€
